Arthur's Smock combines an utilitarian canvas construction with a refined, collarless silhouette. Designed with meticulous attention for detail and solution centered thinking. Cut, Sewn and Dyed by hand by one craftsman in my studio in Friedrichshain, Berlin.

Oversized front pockets provide genuine functionality-spacious enough to accommodate a standard Club Mate bottle or other essentials. Made to be layered over a heavy shirt for warmth or to protect your favourite hoodie from the dangers of physical labour. Versatile layer that transitions seamlessly from casual wear to workwear, balancing heritage design with contemporary utility. Compliments exceptionally well alternative types of shirt collars, e.g. mandarin collar.

By us, for you

Single-handedly manufactured in Berlin

Everything is done in our own studio, from designs and drafts, pattern developing and prototyping to the actual manufacturing of every single piece of clothing. Every piece is cut, sewn and dyed by one maker only based on your unique specifications and gets a brand tag with your name, your size and the date of production.

IN-HOUSE DYEING

Garment Dyed

We dye every single piece by hand after it is sewn together. This process is called garment dyeing and leads to a unique result. The dye washes have different effects on the fabric, depending on the colour.

Black comes out in a lush black with a velvet like shine that has a slightly formal appeal to it.
Blue develops out in slightly irregular shading, catching the light differently across the surface -like dusk reflected on petroleum. Each piece shows slight variation in tone and reflection, making every garment subtly unique.

Persistence vs Change

Deep black stays black. Petroleum blue evolves.

The black dyeing process involves a fixing agent, that supports the fight of the black garment against time and wear.

The Petroleum blue dyeing process is kept natural. The evolution of time and wear is accepted, welcomed and proudly worn. The garment presents its marks and blemishes like a journal, worn on your skin.
